Thanksgiving and Gingerbread Houses

We had a nice little Thanksgiving. We cooked the best turkey we've had since we've been married. We brined it the night before and that made a huge difference. We also had some vegan potatoes (they had almond milk in them), some quick yeast rolls (we forgot about rolls until the last minute), cranberries and a relish tray.

The spread.

Delish turkey.

Don't worry, she's not eating Metamucil. I'm sure she put some toy or something in there.

Eating Thanksgiving dinner.

Here at the Jones House, we like making gingerbread houses each year around Christmas. We actually got this kit from NeNe and Pappy last year, but we had already made some. So we decided to save it for this year. Candy dosen't go bad, right?
Dad was having a hard time with the icing at first. NeNe and Pappy sent it in the mail so some parts were broken making it a little harder to construct than normal.

But finally it got it working alright!

These two loved decorating.

They kept eating the candy.

I guess year old candy isn't that bad.
