Cup Noodle Museum

We went to the Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama. It was fairly cheap and pretty entertaining. It was basically a big advertisement for Cup Noodle. On one floor, there is a restaurant where you can try noodles from eight different countries. The first couple pictures are pretty decent because I used the new camera. But after a couple rounds of spilled drinks and soup, I decided to put it away and opted for the camera-phone.

Left: Pho, Vietnam  -  Right: Lagman, Kazakhstan

Left: Cold Ramen, Korea  -  Right: Lanzhou Beef Ramen, China

Left: Laksa, Malaysia  -  Rigth: Mie Goreng, Indonesia

Left: Tom Yum Goong Noodles, Thailand  -  Right: Pasta, Italy

Eedie really enjoyed the Kazakhstan noodles.

Annabelle would only eat the pasta.

This was outside the restaurant.

You had to be as tall as the noodle cups to go into the Cup Noodles Park. We didn't try this section. Eedie wasn't quite tall enough and it was 300 yen for 30 minutes!

Kawai!

This room below, shows all the various Cup Noodle brands throughout the years.
This was the beginning.
A few more, the next few years...
And tons the last few years.

We went to the "create your own Cup Noodles container and soup" area. You got the cup out of this machine.

Then you could go and decorate your container to your liking.
Love Mike's face!
Eedie's cup. Oh... and you weren't supposed to draw outside the red lines. HA! Not a super friendly young kid activity.
Annabelle's cup... still trying to figure out this camera!
This was the shack were Cup Noodles was invented.
Inside the shack.

In the next area of the museum, there were various "creative thinking" rooms.
This light would go back and forth and make different shadow pictures on the wall.
Fun Cup Noodle art creation.
If you looked at the screen, you were supposed to be able to see yourself as the same size as the noodle cups.

Momofuku Ando (creator of Cup Noodle) and other famous people.
I just thought Annabelle's expressions on all these were funny.
Last one.
Statue of Momofuku Ando. Mike thought he looked a little like Pres. Hinckley. =)
These stairs led up to the museum area from the entrance.
The girls had fun going up and down.
With a giant Cup Noodle cup!

Fun day at the Cup Noodle museum!
