Mike's February TDY

Mike went to Texas in the beginning of February for a week for training. We mostly did our normal routine but on Friday we went to Bourneland at the local mall. Kind of a little pricey, but definitely worth it! The girls loved it. We went with our neighbor and her daughter, Sophie. The girls love to play with Sophie!

Ball pit!

You climb on this to get to the slide.
She fell on her face that morning before we left, hence the huge red mark on her face.
Annabelle's turn.
Running with our friend, Sophie.
Rollin'
You could move these gears around so that they turned to ring the bell.
A construction area where our little engineer was hard at work.
Train track
They even had this pretend play area. They girls actually ended up playing here most of the time. Figures! All that other super fun stuff and they want to play like they do at home!

Back at it, with the balls.

For lunch, we had ramen. We are going to miss good, authentic ramen when we leave.

The next day, we went to our friends', the Jacksons, house from church to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Our friend Maki teaching Annabelle how to fold gyoza.
The girls had fun dressing up, but this was my favorite - princess dress with fireman helmet.

Date Night

We went to a Peruvian restaurant with our friends, the Olsons. It was really good.

Lima de Antaño is the name of the restaurant.

Chicken with veggies in sauce and rice.

We had another meal but forgot to take a picture of it. Another good chicken and rice meal.

WE even got a little entertainment after we ate.

They weren't bad.

Out front of the restaurant.
Would would have thought we would fine good Peruvian food in Japan!?

Setsubun

Mike's Assistant gave us this for Setsubun. It's a bean throwing festival in which people throw beans at a devil in order to get rid of bad luck. For our kit, the dad or mom puts on the devil mask, and the kids run and throw the beans at him while yelling, "Devil out, good luck in." We just had the girls throw the beans at him for fun. =)

Traditionally, kids are supposed to eat the amount of beans corresponding to their age.
Annabelle didn't like them at all!

Eedie turns 2

Eedie turned 2 the beginning of February. Here are her 2 years stats:

Weight: 25 lbs (25th percentile)
Height: 33.5 in. (35th percentile)

Favorite color: Yellow
Favorite Show: Elmo/Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Favorite Food: Raisins
Favorite Toy: Elmo

Elmo fork and spoon, also to be used as a cake topper. =)

We call her the bag lady because everything has to go into some kind of bag.

Water racquet game

Yeah, I had some issues with the cake this year. But that Elmo fork worked perfectly as a cake topper!

She had to get so close to blow it out!

Mike had a TDY (training) in Texas the week of Eedie's actual birthday. So here are a couple from her actual birthday.
Diva!
She got gifts from NeNe and Pappy.
Elmo video
Elmo stuffed toy
And a cart to push all her toys around.

Later, the girls were playing on Eedie's trike. This just reminded me of the scene from "Dumb and Dumber" so I had to take some pics.

Happy Birthday, Eedie!

Vivian is 3 months

Vivian turned 3 months at the end of January. Not sure about her stats for this month but here are some pictures. Can't tell if she looks like Eedie or Annabelle.

Messy House

Just for posterity's sake, I'm posting some pictures of our house at its messiest! =)

Just hanging out, enjoying some lunch.

This is what happens with 3 kids under the age of 4!

The girls wanted to help out by cleaning the windows. =)

Thanks, ladies!

Family Home Evening

Here are a few different treats from some Family Home Evenings we've had this year.

Some penguin cookies our friends bought us.

An apple drink and some kind of healthy drink.

For FHE, we went to Joyful Honda and Mike found something he always loves... a good sauna! Only 294,000 yen for this little piece of heaven (about $3000).

We have no idea... found this in the parking lot at Joyful Honda.

FHE treat from another week. Grape and strawberry chewies and strawberry chocolates.
