This week we took some fun pumpkin pictures, went to an awesome park, and ended up sick by the weekend. We wanted to go to a festival near Tokyo, but between sickness and rain, we decided to stay home. But here are a few pictures from week eight in Japan.
Our friend Becky invited us to a pumpkin picture party. The next few pictures are from that party.

| Eedie doing her model pose. |
| Annabelle loves to hold Eedie. |
| They wanted to try to get all the kids in a picture together... at one point all the kids did stop crying, but I wasn't at a good angle to take a picture. |
| This was our dinner on Monday. Mike had the sushi and I had the rice meal. There were a couple pieces of the sushi Mike did NOT like. I think this was the first time in our married life I ever heard Mike say he thought some type of food was "really gross"! |
| We had this little treat for Family Home Evening this week. We would have had another (since these were super small) but our sweet neighbor brought us some bread that day, which we had for our treat also. |
| I kept complaining about Mike picking out all the bean paste desserts. I happened to find the most interesting bean dessert ever. The picture on the display looked like cookies and cream flavor... ended up being BEANS! Are you kidding me!? Beans in ice cream!? It wasn't good... not good at all. Oh... and Annabelle's ice cream, which looked like a fudge bar filled with chocolate filling, ended up being coffee!!! We ended up sharing a grape flavored ice cream bar which tasted just like grapes off the vine. |
| We went to the Koganai park with Becky and her kids on Thursday. It was a super fun park with a lot to do. There were many student groups there that day. |
| They had these big marshmallow looking jumping things. |
| Annabelle was a little freaked out by them. |
| This was a huge group of kids from a school. Note the officer saying "STOP!" We think he was trying to tell the adults to get off. |
| This was a huge turf slide. Pretty fun. |
| Annabelle and her friend, Tyler, riding down the hill. |
| Becky taking Annabelle down the zip-line. |
Friday we all began feeling sick, beginning with Brooke throwing up 9 times, so no good weekend pictures.
My kids would LOOVE that park!! I am loving reading about your experiences, so exciting to live in such a different culture! Sounds like you guys are adapting well and that's wonderful!
